Electrical engineering students prepare to receive new laptops from local companies

A construction company donated 20 laptops and other computer accessories as a scholarship to 20 students of the Department of Electrical Engineering (DEE), eMalahleni Campus.

The presentation of the computers to the students took place on May 5 at the TUT eMalahleni campus.

In his speech, Mr. Sam Mashilwane, HR Manager of the company, said the donation of computers is to support and contribute to the learning of electrical engineering students in Nkangala District Municipality.


Life changes drastically after graduation

He added that the event is the start of a collaboration and relationship between the company and the Electrical Engineering Department of Tshwane University of Technology, eMalahleni campus.

Dr. Bolanle Abe advised the winners to use the opportunity to pursue their academic goals.

Also present were the Rector of the campus, represented by Dr. Thuli Ngonyama-Ndou, Mr. Dennis Malanga, the members of the central student representative council, the head of library services, Mrs. Jacomi Cathro and the staff members of the Department of Engineering Electrical, Campus eMalahleni.

Mr. Philip Tshubwana, the industrial contact of DEE eMalahleni, thanked the company for this good initiative.
